A rod of neglible thickness and length L is balanced on a circular table of radius r with L ≤ 2r. Assuming that the position of the midpoint of the rod on the table and the direction the rod is pointing are both uniformly distributed, what is the probability that

• both ends of the rod are on the table?

• one end is on and one end is off of the table?
